On behalf of Länsstyrelsen Västerbotten, as Managing Authority, Oxford Research will evaluate projects within the Interreg program Botnia-Atlantica 2014-2020. The evaluation of projects focuses on their contribution to overall program goals and achieved results. The assignment also includes an evaluation of the effects of the program on the general development in the program area.

The Interreg-program Botnia-Atlantica is a cooperation between regions in neighbouring countries Sweden, Finland and Norway that aims to tackle mutual challenges and utilise possibilities within the program’s four priorities. The program area covers six regions and one municipality. In Sweden, the counties Västerbotten and Västernorrland along with Nordanstig municipality in Gävleborg county are included. In Finland, regions Central Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia and Southern Ostrobothnia are covered, and, lastly, in Norway the county of Nordland.

Oxford Research´s evaluation assignment regards both finished and far implemented projects with the purpose of mapping results and assessing whether the results are in line with overall program goals. The evaluation also sees to the program’s context and examines the effects of the program on the general development in the program area, with special attention to the four priorities: innovation, business, environment and transport. The main goal of the evaluation is to increase knowledge about program fulfilment and contribute to the learning process of program administrators for coming program periods.

The evaluation will be reported through a written report and a seminar.
