Oxford Research has been commissioned by Region Jämtland Härjedalen to support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030 in the regional strategy development. The aim of the support is to provide a basis for the region's future work on the regional development strategy.

Region Jämtland Härjedalen is in the process of revising its regional developing strategy (RUS). One aspect of this process is to strengthen the region’s ability to move from analysis to action: by reviewing the data that already exists in the region, to further develop these, and by implementing sustainability perspectives and the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs, Agenda 2030) in analysis, follow-up, strategies and regional processes.

Oxford Research has been commissioned by Region Jämtland Härjedalen to support and further strengthen the region’s capacity to work with sustainable regional development and growth. The assignment is divided into three phases:

  1. Review of the current RUS and the follow-up report “Läget i länet” and how they connect to today’s Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030
  2. Further process the region’s digital platform for access to continuous statistics and analysis with the purpose of making statistics and analysis more accessible
  3. External monitoring of existing methods and practices, both nationally and internationally.

The assignment will conclude with a final report in September 2019 and an easy-to-use information brochure for the region’s upcoming revision of the regional development strategy.
