Oxford Research has been commissioned by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), the UK’s foreign ministry, to conduct a focus group study on the implications of the UK’s departure from the EU in relation to UK-SE trade. The purpose of the study is to investigate expert opinions concerning opportunities and risks for the UK-Sweden trade relationship pertaining to the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, and how these might be mitigated vis-à-vis given sectors. The study aims to provide insights into the perceptions and plans of Swedish trade associations and sector organizations in relation to the UK’s withdrawal.

Together with Coffey, Oxford Research will conduct a study which combines both qualitative and quantitative methods in order to provide a thorough foundation for the analysis. In early 2018, Oxford research will organize, carry out and report on focus groups with trade and sector organisations in Sweden. For a more comprehensive understanding of the issue, the study will complement the main qualitative research with a quantitative sector analysis.
